Where were we? Oh, yes...
Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1:27 So God created man (Adam) in his own image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them.
31: And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Genesis 5: 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years,
and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image;
and called his name Seth...

begat Enos...

begat Jared...
18: And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years,
and he begat Enoch...
21: And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat
Methuselah...
25: And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years,
and begat Lamech...

and begat a son:
29: And he called his name Noah...

begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth...
Ok, I just have to pause at this point...
If you have been following along, we have just dated
one thousand, five hundred and fifty-six years of creation!
I would like to repeat at this point that the Bible is not a history book. It
just went through over fifteen hundred
years in twenty-nine sentences! Well, the Bible was never intended to be a
history book.
It is your Basic
Instructions
Before
Leaving
Earth.
People say "The Bible doesn't mention Dinosaurs!" Well, dear reader, the Bible
doesn't
mention giraffes, either, but it doesn't mean they don't exist, or that the
Bible does not accomplish it's goals.
The Bible is the study of GOD- not history.
But, let's get back to the dates...

and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood.
12: And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and
begat Salah
14 And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber
16 And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat
Peleg
