Ok, there are the facts. I have researched the Bible
myself, and presented them as clearly as I am able. Now it is up to you
what to do with the information. There is simply nowhere to add any more time. The Bible lays it all out.
It is up to you whether or not to believe. You can no longer say you have
not had the age of the Earth explained to you. Selah.

II Kings 10: 35 And Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him in Samaria.
And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.
36: And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty and eight
years.
[Six years as ruler of Judah, as well. If you are not already familiar with the
tribal split, though Israel and Judah are one people, they have been separated
into different kingdoms. Although Jehu reigns for 28 years, only 7 of it is as
the one kings of both tribes, at which time Jehoash, the son of one of the King
Jehu slew to get his throne, begins to reign over Judah, again creating 2
kingdoms. You may read the corresponding chapters for more detail. For the
purposes of our count, suffice to say that only 7 years of Jehu's reign affect
us, as we only need to count the kings of one tribe, and we are counting the
reign of the Kings of Judah.]
[Athaliah immediately usurps throne
from Jehoahaz- throne is, in turn, usurped from her]
II Kings 11: 1 And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son
was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal.
2: But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the
son of Ahaziah and stole him from among the king's sons which were slain; and
they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that
he was not slain.
3: And he was with her hid in the house of the LORD six years. And Athaliah did
reign over the land.
4: And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with
the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD,
and made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of the
LORD, and shewed them the king's son...
12: And he brought forth the king's son, and put the crown upon him, and gave
him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped
their hands, and said, God save the king.
20: And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was in quiet: and they
slew Athaliah with the sword beside the king's house.
21: Seven years old was Jehoash when he began to reign.

Time span
between the end of the reign of the Kings until Christ as an arbitrary
figure
If you figure a generation (meaning the time span between a man
and his child's births) during the time between the carrying away into Babylon
and Christ to be around 30 years, you will get 4000 years total from Creation to
Christ! Granted, placing the arbitrary figure of thirty years as a generation is
simply an average. You may dispute that it was a year or two more or less, but I
think if you were to ask God, He would tell you it is a fair figure. That's what
He told me. No matter which way you look at it, you certainly cannot reasonably
consider the number to be more than twice that. You may add a year or ten by
debating, but if you go purely from scripture, you will find that 4000 years is
the number that we would add to the last two thousand years (at time of this
writing, it is the year Anno Domini 2002) to get
Six Thousand (and two) Years of Creation!
Allowing of course for a month here and a month there, we still don't add up to
one percent of a million.
